Regarding the assessment side of things:
Barbara split out your 13 acre parcel from the banks larger piece back
in September after you spent time discussing the situation with her. She
sent you the 13 acre assessment change to show she had done the split,
and that generated an amount so you could pay the taxes you were
responsible (13 acres vs the whole piece).
After that you were also sent an assessment notice related to the town
wide revaluation that was completed for the October 1, 2021 Grand List.
JoAnne emailed you a copy of that yesterday.
Nobody in our offices was aware you came to town hall to dispute the 13
acres. We have no file with information on it, there was no board of
assessment appeals form filled out.

Good Afternoon Tony,
Your email address for the Assessor was incorrect. I have forwarded
your email to that office.
The correct address is cwlassessor@optonline.net
As I told you on Monday, I do not remember you handing a completed
form to me. I handle paperwork
to and from many, many people and it is not possible for me to
remember every piece of paper. I do
know that if you handed me a completed form for the Tax Collector, I
would have put it on her desk immediately.
In response to all of your other questions, those will need to be
answered by the Tax Collector and the Assessor.
They have nothing to do with my office.
Enjoy your day

85 Cook Road Taxes 3-3-2022 11:10
I must have nothing better to do with my time, here is what I
remember
Back in 2021 I received a letter stating a lean was being put on my
property.
I came to find out that the taxes that were supposed to be paid by
the seller at the closing were never sent in.
Not to argue with City Hall I wrote check #9109 in the amount of
$1,047.96
Eventually the seller also sent in a check for $1,047.96, and my
payment was supposed to be refunded to me.
I never received the form for the refund in the mail.
Vera attempted to email the form to me and forgot to attach the form
to the email.
I went down to Town hall and Vera came out with the refund form, I
signed it and gave it back to Vera.
I thought I took a picture of it BUT I CANT FIND THE PICTURE.
I received an updated assessment for the 13 archers. I went to town
hall and said I wanted to dispute the assessment, can’t remember if I
had to fill something out, a note was put on my file and I was told
someone would get back to me. NOONE HAS.
I am finding out the taxes have been split 50/50 with me and the
bank, no one ever told me that was being done.
I was recently told I have a surplus in paid taxes and that money
was used to pay my half of the taxes.
Questions
Where did my the surplus money come from.
Who decided to split the taxes 50/50.
Can someone get back to me on the new assessment of the property?
How much money did the bank pay for the taxes.
FACTS
The Bank is to pay the full amount of taxes until the property is
officially subdivided.
Thanks Guys
Can you please discuss the issue among yourselves and get back to
me.
Have a nice day and take it easy on me the next time I come to
visit.
Thanks Vera for looking in to this
