Thank you for clearing up the
situation. Under the circumstances I think it would be in your better interest
if You Preley and Paul attended the meeting tomorrow at 4:30 at the restaurant
At The Corner.
I appreciate your opinion that
there is no need for me to attend the next Board meeting, but you have a formal
request.
Can you please email me the minutes
to the last meeting we had at the restaurant At The Corner, with You Perley and
Cleve, along with the last two board meeting minutes, I would appreciate if you
can have them to me by tomorrow before 4:30.
Thank You Tony

Tony,
I just returned from a trip but I wanted to write you
before your meeting tomorrow at 4:30 PM at the restaurant At The
Corner.
I am sorry if I was not clear about the scope of the
change. The Board unanimously decided to
hire a professional property management
company, REI. They have taken over a variety of
responsibilities, one of which is the custodial work. Therefore they will
determine who fills the custodian position. No representative from
the Board will be at the meetings, only Kent Humphrey of REI.
The time requirement for the position will be 4-5 hours
per week and the rate for this independent contractor will be $20 per
hour.
Thank you for offering to meet with the Board but since
our decision is irrevocable, there is no need.
Regards,
Phil Miller

Tony,
The Board of the Greater Litchfield Preservation Trust
has hired a professional property manager, REI Property Management out of
Danbury but with regional offices in Torrington and elsewhere. They will
start on November 1.
They will be responsible for the maintenance of
both the Ag Center and the Post Office, with emphasis on the Ag
Center. As such, the nature of the job you have been doing
will change significantly. The custodian will be paid $20 per hour for 4-5 hours
per week to clean the two bathrooms, other parts of the common area and
maintenance of the garden during growing season and snow removal during the
winter. All other issues will be referred to REI.
If you would like to apply for this position, there will
be a half hour interview with Kent Humphries of REI on Wednesday afternoon,
October 7, @ 4:30 PM at the restaurant At The Corner.
The Board wants to thank you for your long service,
expertise and dedication.
Sincerely,
Phil
Miller
